Indoor Regional Champions!

The indoor training season started for Repton HC at the end of October with weekly training sessions for our U16 and U18 boys and girls squads in preparation for this weekend's Regional tournament. The preparation certainly paid off with all four squads qualifying for Indoor Nationals, with three of the four being crowned Regional Champions !
Our Bulls Head U16 boys had a fantastic day winning all their matches without conceding a goal. A 6-0 victory in the semi final against Belper HC set up a final against Leicester HC (3-0) with goals from Owen, Xav and William proving the boys worthy winners of the tournament and U16 Midlands Champions for the second year running.
The Stratstone BMW girls played off in a round robin tournament with 3 wins, 1 draw (Beeston HC, 1-1) and 1 loss (Stourport HC, 0-1) leaving them Regional Runners Up. Top goal scorer Georgia amassed 11 goals across 5 games and captain Imo scored 5 goals in the team's 12-0 victory against North Staffs.
Both the Bulls Head U18 boys and the Stratstone BMW U18 girls played in round robin tournaments with the boys winning 5 games and drawing 1, whilst the girls won 3 and drew 1. In a competitive field, both teams played a really high standard of indoor hockey throughout the day, a testament to the many training sessions and hard work put in by players and coaches during the indoor training season.
