U16 Girls off to Nationals!

Well Done to our U16 girls who topped the Tier 1 North Pool B Regionals to win a place at this season's National Finals!
The girls had a slow start against local club Beeston with a 1-1 scoreline reflecting some nerves in their first pool match against local rivals. These nerves were quickly shaken off with a 6-0 victory against Harrogate and the pool standings were such that the winner of Repton's last game vs Brooklands would take the Regional title. The girls took a 2-0 lead in the first half and despite Brooklands scoring in the second half a 2-1 victory secured Repton HC's place at the National Finals to be held on 7/8th April at Nottingham Hockey Centre!
Thank you to coaches Russell and Jonesy and manager Catriona for all their hard work and efforts in the run up to the tournament and on the day - there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes in the run up to hosting a Regional competition and the efforts of all involved is much appreciated. Thanks, as ever, to the cake bakers and Kate and Charlotte for their amazing efforts to offer refreshments throughout the day to all the visiting teams and their supporters, the hospitality offered by the club to our visitors is much appreciated by all.
